Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has bagged the Gold Trophy of SCOPE Meritorious Award for ‘Environmental Excellence & Sustainable Development’ for the year 2010-11. The prestigious accolade was presented by President of India to the company on April 13, 2012 at New Delhi.

The SCOPE (Standing Conference of Public Enterprises) awards have been recognized as one of the most prestigious awards in the national economy and in other segments of corporate governance and management.

The award ceremony was part of function organized by SCOPE to celebrate the spirit and contribution of Public Sector Enterprises towards the growth of nation on the occasion of 'Public Sector Day'.

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation is India's flagship exploration and production company, accounting for 75% of the total proved reserves in India. ONGC has proved reserves of over 7 billion boe and annual production of around 425 million boe.
