Eicher Motors gains with its motorcycle division reporting 32% jump in August sales

Eicher Motors is currently trading at Rs. 22765.25, up by 32.55 points or 0.14% from its previous closing of Rs. 22732.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 22816.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 22970.00 and Rs. 22692.00 respectively. So far 1318 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 23390.95 on 31-Aug-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 14817.75 on 19-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 23390.95 and Rs. 22005.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 62008.91 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.67%, while institutions and non-institutions held 36.21% and 13.12% respectively.

Eicher Motors’ motorcycle division has reported a 32% jump in total sales in August 2016 at 55,721 units, as against 42,360 units in the same month last year. During August 2016, the number of motorcycle units exported, increased by 30% to 986 units from 760 units in August 2015.

The company’s sales of vehicles with engine capacity up to 350 cc increased by 30% at 49,481 units in August 2016 against 37,985 units in the same period year ago, while the sales of its vehicles with engine capacity exceeding 350 cc increased by 43% at 6,240 units as against 4,375 units in August last year.
