NHAI appoints MEP Infrastructure’s arm as Fee Collection Agency for four Toll Plaza

MEP Infrastructure Developers’ wholly owned subsidiary - Raima Toll & Infrastructure (RT&IPL), has received four Letter of Award’s (LOA) dated September 09, 2016 from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) informing that RT&IPL has been engaged as User Fee Collection Agency through e-quotation (e-tender) for four projects

The user fee collection rights are for projects at Salaipudhur Fee Plaza; Ettuvattam Fee Plaza; Kappalur Fee Plaza and Nanguneri Fee Plaza, on NH-7 in the state of Tamil Nadu (Madurai-Tirunelveli - Panagudi - Kanyakumari Section). The period of the contract is three months for each plaza.

The operations will commence within 5 working days after complying the statutory formalities viz. submission of performance security, signing of contract as per the LOA. The daily remittance for Salaipudhur Fee Plaza is Rs 10.80 lakh; Ettuvattam Fee Plaza is Rs 10.80 lakh; Kappalur Fee Plaza is Rs 13.50 lakh and Nanguneri Fee Plaza is Rs 11.34 lakh payable to NHAI.

MEP Infra is in the business of pure toll collection projects as well as OMT projects, which involve maintenance obligations in addition to toll collection on operational roads (including highways) constructed by third parties.
