Date: 19-04-2012National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has commissioned Unit-I of 500 MW of Mouda Super Thermal Power Project. With this, the total capacity of NTPC group has become 37,514 MW.
Recently, the company’s thermal power plant’s bunker of the sixth unit at Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur district collapsed halting power generation from the unit. The bunker utilized for storage of coal for combustion in boiler furnace collapsed following technical snag, forcing suspension of power generation from the unit with 500-MW capacity.
