Eicher Motors and Volvo Group’s joint venture firm, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has reported 14.01% increase in total sales in September at 4,843 units, as against 4,248 units in the same month last year. Eicher-branded trucks and buses recorded total sales of 4,734 units in September compared with 4,047 units in the corresponding month last year, up by 16.98%.

In the domestic market, sales of Eicher trucks and buses stood at 4,148 units in September compared with 3,452 units in the year-ago month, up by 20.16%, however exports of Eicher trucks and buses decreased 1.51% at 586 units in September as against 595 units in the same month last year.

Volvo trucks recorded a 45.77% decline in sales at 109 units last month compared with 201 units in September 2015.
