0.20 (0.05%) Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power utility, undertook and actively participated in special initiatives to conserve energy to mark the occasion of Earth Day on April 22, 2012. Nation-wide activities were undertaken by the company, which included conservation and sensitisation initiatives by its energy conservation club, Club Enerji. Mini-club members, affiliated to Club Enerji, enthusiastically spread the message and importance of energy conservation at various traffic signals across Mumbai. Creative posters and banners were displayed and illustrative handouts and pamphlets were also distributed.
Apart from this, under the company’s new initiative called Greenolution, employees from various facilities of Tata Power conducted mass sensitisation sessions within and outside office premises. Greenolution is a special and unique campaign initiated by Tata Power and is a fusion of two concepts - green and evolution, which signifies processes and initiatives that Tata Power has undertaken towards ensuring a greener and sustainable planet.
