Kotak Mahindra Bank reports 28% surge in Q2 consolidated net profit

Kotak Mahindra Bank has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The bank has reported 42.81% rise in its net profit at Rs 813.29 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 569.50 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 13.46% at Rs 5243.58 crore for Q2FY17 as compared Rs 4621.38 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. 

On the consolidated basis, the Group has reported 27.66% rise in its net profit after tax of Rs 1202.40 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 941.89 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the Group increased by 25.05% at Rs 8414.95 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 6729.07 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015.
