Bharti Airtel reports 5% fall in Q2 consolidated net profit

Bharti Airtel has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The company has reported 46.67% rise in its net profit at Rs 3308.10 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2255.40 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 10.79% at Rs 16480.10 crore for Q2FY17 as compared Rs 14875.00 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. 

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 4.91% fall in its net profit of Rs 1460.70 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 1536.10 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 3.44% at Rs 24671.50 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 23851.90 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015.
