Cummins India registers marginal fall in Q2 net profit

Cummins India has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The company has reported 0.53% fall in its net profit at Rs 196.90 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 197.95 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased 5.64% to Rs 1429.13 crore for Q2FY17 from Rs 1352.83 crore for the corresponding quarter in previous year. 

Cummins India, the country’s leading manufacturer of diesel and natural gas engines is one of the eight legal entities of the Cummins Group in India. Comprising of four business units - Industrial Engine, Power Generation, Distribution, and Automotive, Cummins India Limited is also the largest entity of the Cummins Group in India.
