The company has reported 6.27% rise in its net profit at Rs 4974.92 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 4681.39 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased 9.77% to Rs 19578.65 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 21698.54 crore for the corresponding quarter in previous year.
ONGC is India’s largest government-run corporation and produces about 70% of India’s crude oil and natural gas. The corporation is the biggest public sector commercial organization in India with current market capitalization of about $31 billion.
