Bharat Petroleum Corporation reports 26% rise in Q2 net profit

Bharat Petroleum Corporation has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The company has reported 26.16% rise in its net profit at Rs 1305.18 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1034.52 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 5.00% at Rs 55935.54 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 53272.73 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. 

BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
