Tata Steel reports net loss of Rs 49.38 crore in Q2FY17

Tata Steel has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.  

The company has reported a net profit of Rs 249.56 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to net loss of Rs 288.48 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 10.38% to Rs 11882.96 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 10765.84 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.  

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a net loss of Rs 49.38 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to net profit of Rs 5609.43 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total Income of the company has decreased by 0.01% to Rs 27579.57 crore for quarter under review from Rs 27582.63 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015.
