L&T Infotech bags multi-year applications managed services contract from Hartford Steam Boiler

Larsen & Toubro Infotech (L&T Infotech) has been awarded a five-year contract by Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), a leading specialty insurer with 150 years of industry leadership in equipment breakdown insurance and a subsidiary of Munich Re. HSB provides equipment breakdown, inspection services, engineering-based risk management and other specialty coverages that set the standard for excellence worldwide.

HSB chose L&T Infotech's managed application services because it will reduce its costs, permit it to better manage the ongoing support of numerous systems and allow it to focus on its internal expertise on the company’s group transformation and digital initiatives. A key objective of this contract is to deliver innovation & efficiency improvements through, transitioning management of over 100 applications to a managed services model enabling HSB to manage by outcomes with an SLA driven approach. It will also provide applications maintenance services like monitoring, incident management, problem management and enhancement services like assurance, release management and deployment.

L&T Infotech, a subsidiary of engineering & construction major Larsen & Toubro, figures among India’s top 10 IT service providers. It is currently looking to pursue strategic acquisitions in Germany and France to enhance capabilities and address gaps in language capability, industry & technical expertise and geographic coverage in these countries.
