NHPC shines on reporting 28% rise in Q2 net profit

NHPC is currently trading at Rs. 26.25, up by 1.15 points or 4.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 25.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 25.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 26.45 and Rs. 25.15 respectively. So far 1232476 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 28.20 on 01-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 18.35 on 18-Nov-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 26.45 and Rs. 24.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 28340.91 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.60%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.16% and 11.24% respectively.

NHPC has reported 27.89% rise in its net profit at Rs 1554.66 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 1215.67 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 21.36% at Rs 3281.22 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 2703.70 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
