Axis Bank Ltd.

Axis Bank has reported a 25.20% jump in its net profit at Rs 1,277.27 crore for the fourth quarter of the 2011-12 fiscal. It had a profit of Rs 1,020.11 crore in the January-March quarter of 2010-11. The total income of the bank during fourth quarter increased 31.47% to Rs 7,647.94 crore, from Rs 5,817.06 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

For the full year ended March 31, 2012, on the standalone basis, the company has posted a jump of 25.19% in its net profit at Rs 4242.21 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 3388.49 crore for the same period in the previous year.  Total income has increased by 38.55% at Rs 27414.84 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 19786.94 crore for the period ended March 31, 2011.

On the consolidated basis, the company has posted a rise of 26.34% in its net profit at Rs 4219.78 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 3339.91 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income has increased by 38.62% at Rs 27482.29 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 19826.31 crore for the period ended March 31, 2011.
