-60.40 (-5.61%) State Bank of India (SBI) has joined hands with Hopcoms for cashless transactions. The Bank has rolled out cashless transactions by providing POS swiping machines to Hopcoms in Bengaluru city.
By the end of December, about 250 Hopcoms outlets in five districts of Karnataka will have swipe machines, with the number expected to rise to 300 soon after. The swiping machines would be maintained free of cost by the Bank.
SBI offers a wide range of services in the Personal Banking, Agriculture/Rural, NRI services, SME and Corporate Banking etc. The Bank has reported 34.56% fall in its net profit at Rs 2,538.32 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 3879.07 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.
