-10.45 (-0.88%) Tata Global Beverages is planning to re-enter into the ‘goodness of ayurveda’ with its own offering. The market leader in tea is re-entering the ‘ayurvedic’ tea segment after doing a pilot more than two years ago, under its brand -- Teaveda.
While it continues to expand the green tea segment with the UK-based Tetley brand, which it had acquired, another ‘health’-based ayurvedic tea has recently been added to its portfolio. Both Tetley and Teaveda have been pegged on par in the tea bag segment which is growing faster and is currently about 3-5 per cent of the Rs 30,000 crore tea category.
