Date: 02-05-2012Auto major, Mahindra & Mahindra’s (M&M) Farm Equipment Sector (FES) division has maintained its leadership position in the tractor industry in April 2012.
Domestic sales in April 2012 stood at 16049 units down by 9.53%, as against 17740 units during April 2011. Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) in April 2012 stood at 16797 units, as against 18530 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month of April 2012 stood at 748 units.
Moreover, the company reported a 27% rise in its auto sales numbers, which stood at 40719 units during April 2012 as against 32090 units during April 2011.
