Shriram Transport Finance jumps on raising Rs 75 crore on private placement basis

Shriram Transport Finance Company is currently trading at Rs. 851.10, up by 19.55 points or 2.35% from its previous closing of Rs. 831.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 849.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 852.60 and Rs. 839.00 respectively. So far 11195 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1325.00 on 01-Aug-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 736.50 on 21-Jan-2016.

Shriram Transport Finance Company has allotted 750 Unsecured Redeemable Rated Non-Convertible Subordinated Debt in the nature of Debenture of face value of Rs 10 lakh each, aggregating to Rs 75 crore on private placement basis. The Allotment Committee - NCDs of the company in its meeting held on December 29, 2016, has approved for the same.

Shriram Transport Finance is a flagship company of the Chennai-based Shriram group and is classified as deposit taking Asset Financing NBFC. The company was with an objective to provide hire purchase and lease finance for the medium and heavy commercial vehicles to individual truck operators.
