NTPC, one of the largest power generators in the country, has been awarded as the Best Thermal Power Utility of the country by Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) on December 29, 2016 at a function held in New Delhi.

NTPC is an Indian central Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, engaged in the business of generation of electricity and allied activities.
