NTPC's NETRA (NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance) has been awarded for Institutional Research, Training and Excellence in Academia at the 10th Enertia Awards held in New Delhi.  NETRA’s emphasis is on developing cutting edge technologies by carrying out applied research which will translate into cost reductions as well as a greener & cleaner tomorrow.

Recently, the company has been awarded as the Best Thermal Power Utility of the country by Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) on December 29, 2016 at a function held in New Delhi.

NTPC is an Indian central Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, engaged in the business of generation of electricity and allied activities.
