ITC trades high on the bourses

ITC is currently trading at Rs. 245.00, up by 2.35 points or 0.97% from its previous closing of Rs. 242.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 242.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 245.60 and Rs. 242.00 respectively. So far 106565 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 266.00 on 08-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 178.67 on 29-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 248.95 and Rs. 238.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 297397.62 crore.

The institutions and non-institutions held 55.78% and 43.99% stake in the company, respectively.

ITC has commenced construction of its super premium five star hotel ‘ITC Narmada’ in Gujarat. The foundation stone of the luxury hotel, coming up in Vastrapur area of the Ahmedabad city with an investment of Rs 600 crore was laid on January 8, 2017.

Earlier, in December, the company had announced that it would set-up an integrated consumer goods facility and a five star hotel in state of Odisha entailing an investment of Rs 800 crore. The group is also setting up a 110 room five star hotel in Bhubaneswar under its WelcomHotel brand.

ITC has business a interests in cigarettes, hotels, paperboards and specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, stationery, safety matches and other FMCG products.
