JSW Steel trades jubilantly on reporting crude steel production of 3.86 MT in Q3FY17

JSW Steel is currently trading at Rs. 189.00, up by 10.75 points or 6.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 178.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 177.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 195.45 and Rs. 177.90 respectively. So far 1476657 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 195.45 on 11-Jan-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 95.10 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 195.45 and Rs. 160.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 45903.02 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 41.48%, while institutions and non-institutions held 37.54% and 20.97% respectively.

JSW Steel has reported quarterly crude steel production of 3.86 million ton (MT) for Q3FY17 with a growth of 43% over the corresponding quarter (Q3FY16). The production of rolled products (long) increased to 0.74 MT compared to 0.63 MT in Q3FY16, representing a growth of 18%. The production of rolled products (flat) during the quarter increased to 2.83 MT as compared to Q3FY16 of 1.87 MT, a rise of 52%.

For 9M FY 2016-17, the company has reported crude steel production of 11.70 MT which is 25% growth over corresponding period of FY 2015-16.
