JSW Energy has reported results for its first quarter ended June 30, 2011

The company’s net profit for the quarter has declined by 41.85% at Rs 190.26 crore as compared to Rs 327.20 crore for the same quarter last year. Its total Income has increased by 30% to Rs 1198.85 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 922.18 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On consolidated basis, the Group’s net profit has registered a fall of 54.35% at Rs 136.31 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year as compared to Rs 298.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Its total revenue has increased by 34.44% to Rs 1294.48 crore for the quarter from Rs 962.87 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.
