PSU Banking stocks moves higher as Government announces allocation Rs 10,000 crore for recapitalisation of PSU banks

PSU Banking stocks gained after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced allocated Rs 10,000 crore for recapitalisation of PSU banks. He also assured more funds to be allocated if required.

State Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 262.60, up by 2.60 points or 1.00% from its previous closing of Rs. 260.00 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 261.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 268.15 and Rs. 261.00 respectively. So far 1283999 shares were traded on the counter.

Bank of Baroda is currently trading at Rs. 165.90, up by 0.80 points or 0.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 165.10 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 167.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 170.50 and Rs. 165.35 respectively. So far 541800 shares were traded on the counter.

Punjab National Bank is currently trading at Rs. 136.25, up by 0.30 points or 0.22% from its previous closing of Rs. 135.95 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 136.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 140.20 and Rs. 134.85 respectively. So far 862201 shares were traded on the counter.
