Larsen & Toubro shoots up ahead of Q4 results

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs 1153.55, up by 14.70 points or 1.29% from its previous closing of Rs 1138.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 1147.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs 1158.00 and Rs 1115.00 respectively. So far 90293 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 1867.85 on 08-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 971.00 on 21-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 1214.90 and Rs 1112.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 70392.19 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 52.55% while Non-Institutions held 44.64% of the stake.

Larsen & Toubro is expected to report around a 1% YoY decline in its fourth quarter net profit to Rs 1,674 crore from Rs 1,686 crore in the year-ago period. Company’s net sales are seen up 22% at Rs 18,450 crore compared to Rs 15,078 crore.

However, the company is likely to miss its FY12 order inflow guidance. The company cut order inflow guidance to 5% from 15% in Q2. It is expected to achieve 25 percent revenue guidance. L&T needs Rs 34,300 crore of orders in Q4 to meet guidance whereas it announced Rs 12,100 crore of orders in Q4.
