SBI gains on the buzz of inking MoU with Greenply Industries

SBI is currently trading at Rs. 269.95, up by 0.70 points or 0.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 269.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 269.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 270.75 and Rs. 268.70 respectively. So far 647526 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 288.50 on 11-Nov-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 151.30 on 25-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 277.00 and Rs. 267.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 214965.68 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.18%, while institutions and non-institutions held 29.09% and 9.73% respectively.

State Bank of India (SBI) has reportedly signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Greenply Industries to grow its channel financing business. The Bank will extend financial services to Greenply dealers to grow further on a very competitive pricing.

SBI, which is slated to enjoy one-fourth market share with the merger of its associate banks with itself in FY18, is planning to create a digital-only bank platform to allow transactions to be done with the help of apps, internet banking and mobile banking.
