Power Grid Corporation Of India Ltd.

Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has been declared as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding to establish ‘765kV Strengthening in Eastern Region (ERSS-XVIII)’ on build, own operate and maintain (BOOM) basis. The Letter of Intent (LoI) has been received on February 21, 2017.

Earlier in January, PGCIL had inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (ADWEA) & its group for cooperation in areas like smart grid, transmission technology and distribution.

Power Grid Corporation of India is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
