Hinduja Group flagship firm Ashok Leyland has reported 13.24% decline in its net profit for the quarter March 31 at Rs 258.74 crore. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 298.23 crore in the same period last year.
The company’s total income from operations has increased by 12.02% to Rs 4,311.02 crore from Rs 3,848.45 crore in the year-ago period.
For the entire 2011-12 fiscal, the company's net profit dipped 10.35% to Rs 565.98 crore from Rs 631.30 crore in the previous fiscal. The total income from operations went up by 14.90% to Rs 12,841.99 crore from Rs 11,177.11 crore.
The company has recommended a dividend of Re 1 per share of the face value of Re 1 each.
