Maruti Suzuki’s top-selling urban compact SUV Vitara Brezza has crossed 1 lakh cumulative sales milestone in the domestic market. Launched in March last year, Vitara Brezza disrupted the compact SUV market in India with its sporty and glamorous styling, leading features and better fuel efficiency. Using Suzuki’s core technology and global vehicle development processes, the compact SUV was designed and developed in India with the support from Suzuki. It was also the first car in India to be certified for offset and side impact crash tests that will be enforced in India from October 2017 onwards.

Maruti Suzuki India has reported a jump of 10.9% in total sales at 130,280 units in February 2017. This includes 120,735 units in domestic market and 9,545 units of exports. The company had sold a total of 117,451 units in February 2016.
