M&M slips on reporting 1.22% drop in February production

Mahindra & Mahindra is currently trading at Rs. 1319.95, down by 6.40 points or 0.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 1326.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1328.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1330.00 and Rs. 1317.00 respectively. So far 42287 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1508.80 on 09-Aug-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1141.80 on 02-Dec-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1361.70 and Rs. 1299.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 82280.96 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 26.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.79% and 15.43% respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), India’s leading SUV manufacturer, has reported 1.22 % fall in its production to 44401 units in February 2017 as compared to 44950 units in same month last year. On the other hand, the company’s total sales for the month stood at 40414 vehicles, a fall of 2.26%, compared to 41348 vehicles during February 2016. Exports for February 2017 stood at 2,300 vehicles.

M&M is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
