M&M gains on divesting 7.5% stake in MHRIL for Rs 274.36 crore

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is currently trading at Rs. 1324.05, up by 20.15 points or 1.55% from its previous closing of Rs. 1303.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1325.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1352.75 and Rs. 1316.90 respectively. So far 70,015 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1508.80 on 09-Aug-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1141.80 on 02-Dec-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1352.75 and Rs. 1300.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 82,294.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 26.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.79% and 15.43% respectively.

M&M has divested 7.5 percent stake in the group hospitality arm Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India (MHRIL) for around Rs 274.36 crore. Pursuant to approval of the board of directors, the company sold 66,58,565 shares representing 7.5 percent of the share capital of MHRIL. The sale has been executed at an average gross price of Rs 412.05 per share.
