Bharti Airtel rings loud on completing secondary sale of 10.3% stake in Bharti Infratel

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 341.10, up by 2.50 points or 0.74% from its previous closing of Rs. 338.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 339.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 343.40 and Rs. 339.00 respectively. So far 45269 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 400.65 on 23-Feb-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 283.95 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 351.50 and Rs. 325.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 136671.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.14%, while institutions and non-institutions held 26.39% and 6.47% respectively.

Bharti Airtel, India's largest telecommunications services provider, has completed the secondary sale of over 190 million shares of its subsidiary Bharti Infratel (representing 10.3%), to a consortium of funds advised by KKR and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) for a total consideration of over Rs 6193.9 crore (approx $ 951.6 million), executed at a price of Rs 325 per share. Bharti Airtel will primarily use the proceeds from this sale to reduce its debt. Following the closure of this transaction, Bharti Airtel's equity holding in Bharti Infratel stands at 61.7%, and that of KKR and CPPIB at 10.3%.
