IT stocks gained momentum as Indian rupee breached the 55/dollar psychological mark, even after arbitrage measures taken by the Reserve Bank of India late on Monday, on account of increased demand for the greenback from the oil importers.

Oracle Financial Services Software is currently trading at Rs. 2,426.00, up by 58.20 points or 2.46% from its previous closing of Rs 2,367.80 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 2,390.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 2,450.10 and Rs 2,382.45 respectively. So far 4,601 shares were traded on the counter.

Tech Mahindra is currently trading at Rs 620.00, up by 9.05 points or 1.48% from its previous closing of Rs 610.95 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 616.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 629.05 and Rs 611.40 respectively. So far 12,931 shares were traded on the counter.

Tata Consultancy Services is currently trading at Rs 1,216.00, up by 7.10 points or 0.59% from its previous closing of Rs 1,208.90 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 1,221.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 1,228.80 and Rs 1,202.00 respectively. So far 70,341 shares were traded on the counter.
