HDFC Bank reports 18% rise in Q4 net profit

HDFC Bank has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2017.

The Bank has posted a rise of 18.25% in its net profit at Rs 3990.09 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 as compared to Rs 3374.22 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 14.30% at Rs 21560.66 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 18862.61 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016.

For the year ended March 31, 2017, the Bank has posted a rise of 18.33% in its net profit at Rs 14549.66 crore as compared to Rs 12296.23 crore in FY16. Total income of Bank increased 14.98% at Rs 81602.45 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 70973.17 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016.

For the year ended March 31, 2017, on the consolidated basis, the Bank has posted rise of 19.27% in its net profit at Rs 15287.41 crore as compared to Rs 12817.33 crore in FY16. Total income of Bank increased by 15.83% at Rs 86148.99 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 74373.22 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016.
