M&M gains with arm acquiring 100% stake in MANA

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is currently trading at Rs. 1318.00, up by 10.50 points or 0.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 1307.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1317.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1322.45 and Rs. 1315.55 respectively. So far 2,764 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1508.80 on 09-Aug-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1141.80 on 02-Dec-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1322.45 and Rs. 1255.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 81,707.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 26.69%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.66% and 15.66% respectively.

M&M’s wholly owned subsidiary - Mahindra Overseas Investment Company (Mauritius) (MOICML), has acquired 100% of the equity share capital of Mahindra Automotive North America Inc. (MANA) in USA. In view of this, MANA has become a wholly owned subsidiary of MOICML and in turn, of the company with effect from April 25, 2017.

MOICML has acquired 200,000 common stock shares at $25 par value per share. MANA would promote Mahindra Brand in US and expand its reach into US to promote off-road vehicles.
