-5.95 (-1.78%) Tata Motors’ subsidiary -- Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has invested $25 million in US ride-hailing company Lyft as part of a partnership that includes development and testing of autonomous cars. The investment in Lyft was done through InMotion Ventures, the venture capital arm of Jaguar Land Rover. This was part of the $600 million funding round the ride-hailing firm closed in April at a valuation of $7.5 billion.
Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
