Axis Bank gains on plan to raise Rs 5,000 crore to fund business growth

Axis Bank is currently trading at Rs. 509.95, up by 2.55 points or 0.50% from its previous closing of Rs. 507.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 510.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 512.25 and Rs. 509.00 respectively. So far 24075 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 638.00 on 07-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 424.60 on 10-Jan-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 521.60 and Rs. 506.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 122381.73 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 59.38% and 10.49% respectively.

Axis Bank is planning to raise Rs 5,000 crore from debentures to fund business growth. The bank has proposed to raise funds by issuing unsecured redeemable non-convertible subordinated debentures, Basel-III compliant tier 2 debentures (series 27) of the face value of Rs 10 lakh each for cash at par aggregating to Rs 5,000 crore.
