Dr. Reddy’s trades with traction on the bourses

Dr. Reddys Laboratories is currently trading at Rs. 2710.00, up by 44.95 points or 1.69% from its previous closing of Rs. 2665.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2661.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2717.00 and Rs. 2661.00 respectively. So far 12678 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3689.00 on 20-Jul-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2382.05 on 29-May-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2717.00 and Rs. 2605.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 44580.49 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 26.79%, while institutions and non-institutions held 42.95% and 13.87% respectively.

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is recalling over 3.25 lakh cartons of Zenatane (isotretinoin) capsules, used for the treatment of severe acne, from the US market due to failed dissolution specifications. The drug is manufactured by pharma firm Cipla at its Pune facility for Dr Reddy’s Laboratories.

While 13,221 cartons of the capsules in 10 mg strength are being recalled by the company, it is removing 89,118 cartons in 20 mg strength and 2,23,650 cartons in 30 mg. The product in the three strengths is being recalled due to Failed Dissolution Specifications: out of specification results observed for low dissolution.
