HDFC Bank is planning to organize 500 awareness workshops on Goods and Services Tax (GST). The bank will organize more than 500 workshops at over 300 towns and cities in the coming time. The aim is to educate traders, merchants, and businessmen on the uniform indirect tax under GST. The bank will educate traders on benefits, procedures for registering and workflows and case studies.

HDFC Bank has posted a rise of 18.25% in its net profit at Rs 3990.09 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 as compared to Rs 3374.22 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 14.30% at Rs 21560.66 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 18862.61 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016.
