Bharat Electronics, country’s defence public enterprise has manufactured a cockpit sub-assembly for Boeing EA-18G Growler. It has received contract for this work in March 2011. Featuring BEL sub-assembly, Boeing has delivered this to US Navy the first EA-18G on May 3 this year.

Boeing has renewed the contract for another year and it can do so for next four years.  The sub-assembly facilitates cockpit flood-lighting compatible with the aircraft's night vision imaging system.

In 2009 BEL and Boeing established Analysis & Experimentation Centre in Bangalore. It also provides Identification Friend or Foe interrogators and Data Link II communications systems for the P-8I sea observation aircraft that the Indian Navy has acquired.
