Eicher Motors surges on its motorcycle division reporting 25% jump in June sales

Eicher Motors is currently trading at Rs. 27541.65, up by 527.95 points or 1.95% from its previous closing of Rs. 27013.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 27300.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 27608.35 and Rs. 27153.05 respectively. So far 1888 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 29983.00 on 11-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 19020.05 on 01-Jul-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 27608.35 and Rs. 26388.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 74935.64 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.58%, while institutions and non-institutions held 36.48% and 12.94% respectively.

Eicher Motors’ motorcycle division has reported a 25% jump in total sales in June 2017 at 63,160 units, as against 50,682 units in the same month last year.  During June 2017, the number of motorcycle units exported, decreased by 8% to 1,489 units from 1,622 units in June 2016.

The company’s sales of vehicles with engine capacity up to 350 cc increased by 31% at 58,741 units in June 2017 against 44,981 units in the same period year ago, while the sales of its vehicles with engine capacity exceeding 350 cc declined by 22% at 4419 units as against 5701 units in June last year.
