Tata Motors’ subsidiary -- Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has reported retail sales of 51,591 units for June, up 11 per cent from the same month last year. During the April-June quarter, the company retailed 1,37,463 units, up 3.5% from the same period of last year.

Retail sales for June were up year-on-year in China (65.3%), the UK (3.8%), Europe (3.7%) and North America (3.2%) whilst sales in overseas markets were down 8.5%.

Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
