Physical rubber prices declined on Saturday

Physical rubber prices declined on Saturday tailing the slide in the futures market. There was not much buying from the consuming industries that too kept the prices subdued.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 194.25/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 195/kg; while the RSS-5 variety closed unchanged at Rs 193/kg.

In futures market, the contract of RSS-4 for June delivery declined to Rs 193.30 from its previous closing of Rs 195.01, while the contract of July delivery closed at Rs 195.50 compared to its previous closing of Rs 197.74 a kg on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
