Date: 04-06-2012National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has commissioned the Unit - 3 of 660 MW of Sipat Super Thermal Power Station Stage-I on June 02, 2012. With this, the total capacity of NTPC group has become 38,674 MW.
Recently, NTPC had commissioned Unit- 5 of 500 MW of Rihand Super Thermal Power Project on May 25, 2012.
NTPC is the largest power generating major in the country. It has also diversified into hydro power, coal mining, power equipment manufacturing, oil & gas exploration, power trading & distribution.
