Deccan Gold Mines’ arm submits application for issue of ToR for Ganajur Gold project

Deccan Gold Mines’ subsidiary, i.e. Deccan Exploration Services (DESPL), has submitted an application to Ministry of Environment & Forest, Government of India (GoI) for issue of Terms of reference (ToR) for preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the proposed 2000 tpd processing for its Ganajur Gold project.

Further, DESPL has commenced environmental base line studies at Ganjur for the preparation of EIA and EMP Report, which will be incorporated into the mining plan. The subsidiary also has appointed Bhagavathi Ana Labs, Hyderabad to conduct the study and prepare EIA and EMP report. The study will involve sampling and analysis of ambient air quality, water quality, soil quality, noise levels and meteorological data, etc., as per norms of Indian Bureau of Mines.
