JSW Steel reports 43% fall in Q1 consolidated net profit

JSW Steel has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2017.

The company has reported 61.28% fall in its net profit at Rs 419 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1082 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 25.52% at Rs 15144 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 12065 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.   

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 43.07% fall in its net profit at Rs 624 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2017, as compared to Rs 1096 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the total consolidated income of the company increased by 23.99% at Rs 16018 crore for quarter under review, as compared to Rs 12919 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016.
