Eicher Motors’ joint venture (JV) - VE Commercial Vehicles has reported a marginal decline in total sales at 4,359 units in July as against 4,374 units sold in same month previous year.

Eicher branded trucks and buses recorded total sales of 4,316 units in July 2017, as compared to 4,315 units in July 2016. In the domestic market, Eicher brand posted sales of 3,714 units as against 3,664 units in July last year, a growth of 1.4 percent. On the export front, 602 units of Eicher branded commercial vehicles were shipped as compared to 651 units in the year-ago month, down 7.5 percent.

Volvo trucks recorded sales of 43 units in July 2017 as compared to 59 units in the same month last year, a decline of 27.1 percent.
