Hindalco Industries trades higher on the bourses

Hindalco Industries is currently trading at Rs. 239.40, up by 4.35 points or 1.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 235.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 236.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 243.25 and Rs. 236.80 respectively. So far 7,01,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 244.80 on 08-Aug-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 138.60 on 11-Aug-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 244.80 and Rs. 219.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 53,663.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.69%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.84% and 13.32% respectively.

Hindalco Industries is proposing to avail not execeeding Rs 2,400 crore working capital facility by way of Commercial Papers and Unsecured Debentures etc for Aluminium Business. The company is also proposing to avail not execeeding Rs 2,000 crore working capital facility by way of Commercial Papers and Unsecured Debentures etc for Copper Business. The board of directors at their meeting on August 11, 2017 will consider the same.

The company’s aluminium units across the country encompass the entire gamut of operations from bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting to downstream rolling, extrusions, foils and alloy wheels, along with captive power plants and coal mines.
