L&T rises on securing various orders worth Rs 2410 crore

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is currently trading at Rs. 1271.20, up by 3.95 points or 0.31% from its previous closing of Rs. 1267.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1278.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1281.50 and Rs. 1255.00 respectively. So far 227128 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1867.85 on 08-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 971.00 on 21-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1281.50 and Rs. 1106.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 77216.34 crore.

The  Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.25% and 44.64% stake in the company respectively.

L&T Construction, the Engineering Construction and Contracts division of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won new orders worth Rs 2410 crore across various businesses  during the first quarter of FY13. Of which the company has secured Rs 1821 crore worth of order from leading developers for the construction of major residential towers across various cities in the northern part of the country under building and factories IC segment.

Moreover, the company’s infrastructure IC has won order worth Rs 345 crore for the design and construction of viaducts and three elevated stations from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) which also includes additional orders from various ongoing projects.

In another development, the water Effluent and Treatment business of the company has bagged order worth Rs 244 crore from Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage board for upgrading the existing water distribution systems including additional orders from various ongoing projects.
